Just a quick post to let you know that I stopped in at my local CVS tonight to grab some much needed sinus medication and saw a cart stuffed totally full with Pampers diapers. They were clearance out at $4.49 a pack...matched up with some coupons (which I did not have with me....frown) these would be a real steal. Just so you know Pampers cruisers are also on sale this week for $8 something with $3 ecb....I was really hoping that these would also qualify and then I would get them for a $1 each. NOT SO MUCH....these did not produce any ecb....just so you know. Still a great deal if you need them.....they had various sizes, I just grabbed the ones I needed (big sigh....because I even have to still buy them....Miss Julia is on a potty training boycot!!!). I'm sure you could call your local CVS to see if they have such a cart....before you make the trip!

Just a heads up to any of you Goodwill bargain hunters....this Friday Feb.19th and Sat. Feb. 20th are 50% off days for the Goodwill store in my area!! So just in case you were in need of something....or feel like digging through things to find a special treasure...either way you know what days to go!
Over at Leelou Blogs she is celebrating her birthday with some FREE DOWNLOADS.....I think these would be such a nice gift to your spouse, or grandparents. The only thing you would pay would be the cost of printing the photo....So under $1.00!! (print pics as 5X7 or 4X6)
A couple of weeks ago it the boys decided we really needed a painting day....they ask me all the time, but we usually never get to it. So this day we made it happen! I used the bottom of my left over egg cartons to make the paint trays...it worked great...
Zach had a great time! Sad to admit but I think this was his first time finger painting...
Lance is my perfectionist! Since we decided to use our fingers it took him awhile to get his picture just how he wanted it....

Julia and I had fun painting a picture...Actually I did most of the picture painting......as you can see she was more concerned with painting her toes than the paper.....Can you tell she likes her toes painted? Yep, I indulge her is doing so!!!

On Friday night Justin and I were blessed with a "Date Night". We had so much fun and didn't get the kids back till around Noon on Saturday!!!! Well as every good bargain shopper knows, every good date night includes a deal run, right? Okay so maybe not, but our did include a quicky stop at Kmart to take advantage of their dollar day specials. I got 4 Hot Shot wasp spray for .19 a can, .40 each for suave, .49 each for LA Looks, free deodorant, free visine, $1.40 for Kotex tampons.....good run I thought...GREAT DATE NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today (Sunday) I stopped in at CVS to grab up some FREE school supplies!!!!! I did two transactions b/c I wanted to use my rain check for the Soy Joy deal they ran a couple weeks ago.....my total after coupons and ECBS came to under .50!!!!! Then I rolled those Ecb for my second transaction all this was FREE: Fusion razor, 2 tablets, 2 scissors, 2 glue, 2 rulers, 3 pen packs, 3 boxes of Tylenol Arthritis , I got a coupon for a FREE milk from the little coupon machine...LOVE THAT!!!! Then I got another $1 back from my second milk......my 2nd transaction was .85 subtotal with seventy some cents in tax making it $1.4? So for about $2 I went home with all these goodies plus I have $28 in ECB's for my future deals.........YAHOOO!!! It really felt great to have such a great week at CVS....seems like it has been awhile since I had such a great week. This winter is seemed I could roll ECB's like this every week!!!
I just submitted my request for a FREE quart of paint from Gidden. They are giving away free quarts of paint while supplies last or July 2nd. It will come in an eggshell finish...which happens to be what I would prefer anyway!!! I requested Soft Amethyst (lavender)...not totally sure what I will do with it, but at this point my plan is to paint up a couple shelves for Julia's room!
There are a few restrictions for the giveaway...no PO Box, no military base addresses, US residents only, one quart per household....pretty simple and reasonable restrictions I'd say.

Last night I went to Kroger to get in on some of their 10/10 sale before it ended.....I had not been grocery shopping for almost 3 weeks!!! I was taking a much needed break from sale watching, couponing, and running to my stores....so we in turn ate from the pantry and the freezer....worked out great, but it felt good snatching up some deals this week!!!
Well, I put 77 items in my cart and my total before any coupons was just over $80....after coupons I paid $63.22!!!!
Just to highlight a couple deals: I got 4 of the Santa Cruz organic juices..on sale for $1.50 and I have .75 off coupons making it only .75! A nice treat for us...I hardly ever buy juice, let alone organic!! I also got 10 FREE Kool-aid packets! I am thinking after this shopping trip that should get me through the end of the month!!! I can't wait to add up my small pile of receipts from this month and see how much below the budget I am since I chose to stay home an not shop!!
