Quilt Happy & Scrap Happy Review/Giveaway!!!!

I emailed the owner of quilt happy about reviewing some of her products and guess what? Turns out that she lives within minutes of me!!! How crazy is that!!! She was sweet enough to even deliver them to me and we had a fun visit while my kiddos were playing in the sprinkler. While talking with Karen, I asked her how her company came about. I don't know about you, but I also love to hear the story behind how the company came to be. Karen shared with me that she has a background in marketing and graphic design. She thought about retiring when things at her current job were changing up a bit. She thought the notion of retiring sounded dreamy, but knew she would quickly be bored and want something to do with her time. Thus the idea of Knit Happy, her first line came to be. Since that time Stitch Happy, Scrap Happy, & the newest release is Quilt Happy!

Karen said that while designing these products they had to meet these criteria:

1. Be FUNtional 2. Budget Friendly 3. Make you HAPPY while you use it. 

The first product that Quilt Happy provided for me to review was this BPA Free water bottle. I like the fun colors that they are offered in. I also liked the insert that you can put into the freezer and then when you need it add it to your beverage and it will keep it cold for you without watering it down. The first water bottle I had leaked after the first time I used it....I contacted Karen to see if this was common and she said it was not. She also kindly sent me another in it's place. I have had no problems with the new one. The only negative thing I have to say about the bottle is that it is made in China. I would like to see items like these MADE IN THE USA. I understand that it might drive the cost upwards a bit, but worth it to keep our work here in the states.

The second item was this handy notebook. I really love that I can put this notebook in my purse along with fabric notes, patterns notes and keep it all together while shoppping. I have mostly used it so far to use in my hobby space for making notes on projects I want to complete and what items I need to buy for those projects. I think this would be a very fun gift to someone who loves quilting!

I was also blessed with this bag from the Scrap Happy line! I am currently using mine to hold my scrap pieces of cardstock and designer paper. I love that it is transparent so I can easily spy what I am looking for. I love the cute logo too! I am not sure how durable this bag would be over the long haul, if I was using it to carry along with me on a daily basis. Again I would like a bad MADE IN USA over the imported version.

I'll tell you what I do have my eye on. One of the super cute Quilt Happy insultaed tumbler mugs or the color dipped mugs (a PINK one)!!
