The Critical Thinking Co. Review/Giveaway!

I am very excited to share with you the first review/giveaway in July!!! The Critical Thinking Co., founded by John David Baker in 1958, just celebrated 50 YEARS of business in 2008! Now over 50 years later, The Critical Thinking Company, winner of more than 90 national awards, has more than 240 titles, and is in over 50 countries around the world. The company generously sent our family a FREE copy of their Math Analogies Beginning workbook.
Since Caleb is my new 1st grader, he was the one to get to review the product with mommy!! This is his face after opening the package when it arrived. Yep, completely excited and overjoyed! Well I knew he would soon find out that this was "school work", and then the real review would begin (smile). I explained to him that he was being blessed with the chance to get to try out a new math program that he had never did before. We went over the first page together, and I walked him through each problem.
Then I let him walk me through each problem so I could hear his thought process out loud. He did wonderful! So here is a pic of the page he chose to show everyone. This will give you a little preview of what the pages entail. Well, he loved it so much that he made it to page 10 before he even knew it!!! I think that might speak volumes in and of itself! Everything is always fun when it's new, but since then he has asked...yep you heard me...asked to work on some more school work in his new book!
Here is some more exciting news the company has 100's of FREE PRINTABLES and over 30 FREE SOFTWARE demos!!!!

The Critical Thinking Company has generously offered to give away a book in their Math Analogies series of your choice.

The Mathematical Reasoning and Math Detective Series peeks my interest because my kids think math is boring and I would love to find something that gets them excited about math.

I would totally keep it - UNLESS it didn't work for us. :-)
